The competition team are members which work on our competitive aircraft, bringing a competitive edge to our aviation knowledge. In the 2026-27 academic year, UGA will be competing in two competitions. One in Spain, and the other in England.

Technical Team

The technical team is UGA's research and development arm and looks to innovate across the aeronautical sector by producing research into cutting edge topics such as autonomous and hydrogen powered aircraft. Technical projects push the boundary of student aeronautics to give our members invaluable research experience.

Operations

The Business Operations team manages the big picture strategic and logistical side of the society, ensuring the smooth running of our projects outside of the workshop. Their goal is to support the technical teams with the resources and visibility that they require to keep the society thriving. They handle sponsorship outreach, funding applications, event planning and the management of the society's social media.
