Taking Flight Worldwide.
We are the University of Glasgow Aeronautics Society (UGA). Every year our talented team of students design, build and fly an unmanned fixed-wing aircraft to participate in prestigious competitions worldwide. These competitions give us the opportunity to test our engineering skills developed through our degrees and from our unique experiences within the society against other students from some of the world’s top universities.
At UGA, we strive to give students the opportunity to use the knowledge and skills gained from their degree on a real-world project in an industry style environment.
This enables students within the society to develop to the next level as an engineer, developing soft-skills through working in teams, and evolving into leaders as they progress through the society.
We aim to shape the engineers of the future, giving students the skills and knowledge that they may not encounter in their degree to make them attractive candidates to employers after graduation.
We do this all while maintaining a fun and welcoming environment, giving our members a real sense of belonging at University.
